The Provincial CDC of Zhejiang had reported H3 influenza infection detected in Wenzhou, Jinhua, Lishui, Hangzhou.
H3N2 influenza viruses had been isolated from 30 out of 76 samples collected by sential network since mid-August.
also, H3 was detected from 8 out of 16 samples sent to the provincial CDC by samples collected from Wenzhou and Jinhua on 2 September.
H3 was detected in 3 out of 10 samples collected from children who developed un-known fever in Lishui.
H3 was also detected in 4 out of 14 samples collected from Hangzhou Hospitals. All positive samples were from Hangzhou Children´s Hospital.
*The Provincial CDC´s disclosure of influenza surveillance data could somehow be treated as a ´soft commercial?for boosting the sales of influenza vaccine, as the provincial CDC´s surveillance data had always been treated as classified and would not open to the general public. This is particularly true in Zhejiang. Anyway, the data disclosed for the first time showed even during the 磏on-flu?season, flu infections in children were still need to be concerned.-----Mod.YL*
