On 19 October, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Commercial Table Egg Layer in Clinton(934600 birds affected) county, Illinois.
