On 1 October 2026, APHIS reported 14 wild birds collected from 19 September to 22 September 2026 (Cinnamon teal(1), Green-winged teal(4), Gadwall, Mallard(2), Turkey vulture(6)) tested positive for EA H5 HPAI strain in (Davis(8), Rich(6)) counties, Utah.
