From 17 September to 23 September, 2026, APHIS reported 17 dead wild birds collected from 11 September to 15 September in 2026 (Turkey vulture, Canada goose, Red-tailed hawk, Bald eagle, American white pelican, Mallard, Wood duck) tested positive for EA H5 HPAI strain in (Washington, Ramsey, Hennepin, Sherburne, Dakota, Scott) counties, Minnestoa.
