USDA: HPAI detection in Minnesota

From 21 September to 23 September, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in WOAH Non-poultry in Otter Tail(140 birds affected) and Kandiyohi Counties, in WOAH Poultry (140 birds affected) in Benton County, in commercial turkey meat bird (51500 birds affected) in Stearns County, Minnestoa.
