USDA: HPAI cases in live wild birds in Utah in August, 2026

August 26, 2026, APHIS reported 27 live wild birds (Mallard, Gadwall, Redhead duck, Cinnamon teal) tested positive for EA H5 HPAI strain in Davis county(near Salt Lake city), Utah.
