UK: Bird flu (avian influenza): latest situation

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in a large commercial poultry flock near Brockworth, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire (AIV 2025 127) on 18 December 2025. A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
The CVO Scotland has confirmed a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in a large commercial poultry flock near Penicuik, Scottish Borders, Scotland (AIV 2025 128) on 18 December 2025. A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
