China: A human case of avian influenza A(H5N1) reported in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (imported case from Vietnam)

There was one new human case of avian influenza A(H5N1) from China reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 23 May 2025.
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region:
A 53-year-old female, recovered and discharged on 11 April, 2025.
*This was an imported case from Vietnam, the CDC of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region confirmed H5N1 positive result of the arriving patient sample on 11 April, epidemiological investigation, contact tracing and external environment disinfection were carried out accordingly, the Vietnam customs was notified by the local customs, the patient returned to Vietnam after discharged from the hospital.
