Affected population
HPAI H5N8 virus belonging to the 2.3.4.4 B clade has been detected in one common buzard (Buteo buteo). The bird was found in Eraclea (Province of Venice) showing neurological signs like wings incoordination, thus the bird was rescued by a Wild Life Rescue Team and moved to a Wild Life rescue center located in Polesella (Province of Rovigo), where it died shortly after.
