Epidemiological comments 24 Mar 2020 Update--Surveillance testing for H5/H7 Avian Influenza has identified H7N3 low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) in commercial turkey meat flocks at an additional 3 premises in North Carolina and 1 premises in South Carolina. H7 LPAI was also confirmed in 1 commercial turkey breeder and 3 other turkey meat flocks in North Carolina. No clinical signs have been observed in these recently identified flocks. Affected premises for this event total 11. All confirmed positive premises have been depopulated and disposal is ongoing.
