Epidemiological comments

The competent authority had immediately placed the affected holding under veterinary restrictions. All poultry of the affected holding has been culled and safely disposed of on 26 July 2015.
The areas under veterinary restrictions have been established. Poultry from three non-commercial holdings situated in a 1-km radius around the infected holding were pre-emptively culled and the carcasses safely disposed of on 27 July 2015.
Epidemiological investigations have been initiated immediately. According to current knowledge no poultry or poultry meat has been dispatched to other L?nder, EU Member States or to third countries.
Table eggs have been moved within the Province of Niedersachsen only but not to EU Member States or third countries.
