China: Hunan H9N2 case reported

Mainland authorities today notified the HongKong Centre for Health Protection of a case of avian influenza A (H9N2), affecting a seven-year-old boy in Hunan(http://map.flu.org.cn).
He fell ill on November 19 and has recovered after receiving treatment at a local hospital.
He had been in contact with poultry.
The Centre for Health Protection will liaise with Mainland health authorities on the case.
