China: a new H7N9 human case reported in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province

The male patient, surname Ou, 38, resident of Nanling village, Longgang district of the city of Shenzhen(http://map.flu.org.cn), is in serious condition, the provincial health authority said in a statement on Thursday. He had fever and cough on 9th,Dec and walked in a clinic in Nanling village for treatment; On 12th, De, the patient walked in the ER of Nanwan People´s hospital for treatment. Throat swabs was taken on 12th,16th Dec and both tested negative for influenza A virus. On 17th, Dec, the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid sample was tested positive for H7N9 by Shenzhen CDC. On 18th,Dec the Guangdong CDC confirmed the result and the patient has been transferred to Shenzhen No.3 hospital for infectious disease treatment.
