CAIRO (AFP) - An Egyptian woman died from the H5N1 strain of bird flu on Monday, the health ministry said, the third such death in less than a week.

Fardos Mohammed Haddad, 36, from the Nile Delta province of Menufia died in Menuf hospital where she was admitted on Saturday with a very high fever, ministry spokesman Abdel Rahman Shahin said in a statement carried by the official MENA news agency.
