Russia confirms H5N1 bird flu strain at poultry farm

MOSCOW, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Russia"e;s animal and plant health watchdog said on Tuesday the H5N1 strain of bird flu had been identified at a poultry farm in the south where 410 birds died. Another 414 birds were culled and strict quarantine measures have been put in place at the farm in Krasnodar region, Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.
